We offered several nights for guests to order a French-inspired dinner at the Inn over Valentine’s weekend.
Often, the wonderful restaurants we have in the town of Excelsior book up quickly for the weekend of Valentine’s, so we wanted to offer a special meal to serve in the warm, cozy and very romantic atmosphere of the Inn.
With the assistance of former Inn on Crescent Lake owner, Beverly, (who is a dual citizen of France and the U.S.) we came up with this menu:
1. Taboule salad with couscous and lots of fresh veggies on a Romaine leaf with a raspberry vinaigrette.
2. Chicken crepes with white wine and lemon cream sauce. Roasted asparagus was served alongside.
3. A Trio of Mini Desserts included molten chocolate cake with salted caramel, French apple lemon cake truffles with salted caramel and a raspberry cream trifle shooter.
